Research & Development Service
Our R&D teams work directly with management on Marinove’s medium and long-term technical challenges: both on the needs related with our own zootechnical innovations and to meet the needs expressed by our clients.
Our selection work regarding robustness and aesthetics criteria was the subject of an EFABAR certification on good practices. This approach, very important for our company, allows us to offer our clients 3 species of selected shellfish: the ORKA hollow oyster, the NORDIK flat oyster and the OPALYN clam.
Our spirit of R&D is focused on listening to the needs of our clients, from all oyster farming areas. To do so, we collaborate with different research organisations, as well as with producers, very directly, to respond to the challenges of resistance of our spat in different environments.
Environmental changes in different breeding areas are at the heart of our R&D work. Our selection programmes therefore have the specific aim of allowing the best possible adaptation of our spat to the breeding environment of the shellfish farmers who trust in us.
Quality department & laboratory
Our quality department and our laboratory are transversal services essential to our work as a breeder. Ensuring the qualitative consistency of the stock, and allowing the best zootechnical and animal health control of breeding are important guarantees for satisfying our clients.
Technical & maintenance
The technical teams allow us to be responsive in the maintenance and innovation of our aquaculture equipment. In our profession, bespoke solutions are often sacred, and our technical teams allow the development of our characteristics.
